4.0 out of 5 stars pretty nice, February 19, 2011
This review is from: Emerson EM510 Stereo Wireless Headset - Bluetooth Headset - Retail Packaging - Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Paired right up to my iPod Touch and lets me roam around without catching the durn headphone wires on everything. Hard to find support to get any questions answered but I want to tell you here and now - when you turn them on, keep the button pushed down until you see the red and blue lights flashing alternately. THAT's when they can pair. If you just hold down until the blue light flashes, you won't get it to work. Just so you know, southerntelecom.com (and yeah, that com is twice) has the support pages but this model must be hiding over there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good sound for bluetooth, November 28, 2010
This review is from: Emerson EM510 Stereo Wireless Headset - Bluetooth Headset - Retail Packaging - Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The dynamic range is not comparable with wired ear buds, but the dynamic range of bluetooth is not comparable to wires. Nevertheless music and voices are clear, unlike the reviews of many other bluetooth ear buds that I've seen.

The two rocker-and-push switches are small but still give enough tactile feedback so that I know that I've done what I intended to do.

Paring with my phone and tablet was very simple.

The fit is somewhat tight. This is the only real con I've found. Hopefully the headset will loosen up a little and my ears will toughen a little over the next few months.

Pros:
1. Good pairing with Play Station (though PS3 wont allow Bluetooth as a sound device only as a communication device).
2. Good pairing with Android phones.
3. Great sound for Bluetooth but not as great as similar priced wired headphones, though that will always be the case with all Bluetooth headsets.
4. No wires.
5. 3 sets of silicon ear pieces for different sized ears.

Cons:
1. Hard and slow to turn on and off (if you hit the button in the wrong way it will take twice as long to turn off cause you'll have to start over again).
2. Won't work under Windows 7 (needs special drivers which Emerson doesn't make) I don't know if it will work under any other standard OS but probably not any versions of Windows.
3. Made for medium and small heads, bigger heads like mine will have a problem with one earpiece unseating itself and slightly uncomfortable angling of the ear shaft.
3. No support site for this head set yet, no online... Read more
